Scott is an inspirational speaker drawing on his range of life experiences, from growing up in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, to living and working across the globe.
Scott was born with a curious mind, always open to new adventures and ready to seize an opportunity. For a year during high school, Scott lived in Sweden as an exchange student. Before long he was working in the mountains of Japan and for eight years, sailing Europe, North and South America with Carnival Cruise Lines as Chief Purser. In total, he has travelled to over 80 countries; solo kayaked Glacier Bay in Alaska, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for the Make-a-Wish foundation and put together a team – and rode – in the Australian Safari.
Scott is the proud father of two girls, and husband to wife Bec who he met on a blind date. Life is all about making choices, but love just seems to be one choice you can't make, it chooses you...!
In mid-2012, Scott was busy hanging out the laundry at my home in McLaren Vale, South Australia when confronted with the prospect of his wife’s brand new cocktail dress. "If only I had a clothes peg with hooks ... I could then just hang the dress by the straps and eliminate peg, line and sun marks! This had me thinking, why hadn’t somebody invented this already?" And so the idea for the HEG was born. Scott designed, patented and created the HEG through hard work, innovation and team building. The HEG has since won an AUSTRALIAN DESIGN AWARD and the prestigious international 'GOOD DESIGN AWARD'.. The HEG was launched in Australian stores early 2014 and has already been picked up by supermarket chains around the world.
Scott has also been involved as Project Development Director with Sunrise Children’s Villages since 2011. Sunrise Villages are home and education centres for abused, neglected, abandoned, trafficked, vulnerable and orphaned children in Cambodia
An outback kid at heart, Scott was born in Alice Springs, Central Australia. His parents arrived from the UK with just their suitcases. Scott has management background in corporate, private enterprise and non-for-profit organizations. From being the chief purser on a cruise ship to starting an Internet cafe in Alaska, he has done it all! Scott has travelled to over 80+ countries, kayaked glacier-bay Alaska solo, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for the Make-a-Wish foundation and put together a team and rode in the Australian Safari. Scott understands the key to a winning mindset is that it doesn’t matter what you do, you rarely do it by yourself. Your Team, Your Family, Your Customers and those who you meet in your travels, make you who you are.
